Jeep calls it the Trackhawk-but wouldn’t Hellhawk sound cooler? The machine is fortified with stronger drivetrain components and upgraded cooling systems compared with its less outrageous SRT sibling, which is virtually unchanged for 2018. The wait is finally over! The notorious Hellcat V-8 (707 horsepower) has been stuffed into the Grand Cherokee. When we crunch the numbers and compare the stats, these crazy Jeepers deliver the best value versus their high-end, high-speed SUV alternatives. While it’s the most expensive Jeep ever, it’s also one of the most powerful SUVs on the planet and one of the quickest. Not enough for you? The almighty Trackhawk has a 707-hp supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat engine stuffed between its front fenders. The beastly SRT runs a 6.4-liter Hemi with 475 horsepower. Both come standard with paddle-shifted eight-speed automatics and all-wheel drive, but their V-8s have different personalities. These two fire-breathing chariots feature mega Hemi V-8 power, aggressive bodywork, sport-tuned suspensions, and beefed-up brakes. The Grand Cherokee SRT and Trackhawk flip the Jeep thing on its head by swapping trail ratings for track raging.
